Connemara Conservancy Service Project

As part of our #OneFutureInitiative, we dedicate 2.5% of our time to service projects in our community. On February 15, 2023, our firm joined several other volunteer groups to assist in a grassland restoration project at Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve. We rolled up our sleeves and dug right in to move segments of switch grass and replant them in the sparse areas of the meadow.

The Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve is a 72-acre natural oasis in the midst of Allen and Plano, Texas. The Meadow has over 3 miles of trails to enjoy and it is a beautiful place to observe wildflowers in the spring. Beginning in late 2012, the Connemara Board of Trustees began an effort to restore native grasses and wildflowers to the meadow. With the help of dozens of volunteers, the restoration process is a year-long effort. For more information about how to become a volunteer, email meadowmanager@connemaraconservancy.org.

Our volunteer crew included James Creedon, Ty Edwards, Charles Wallace, Anjie Vichayanonda, and Christian Cowart.
